The Brunswick House in Vauxhall is an absolute gem for hosting a wedding celebration, offering a beautiful and historic backdrop for wedding photography. This stunning Georgian mansion set the stage for Helen & Mad's Danish-style wedding, which was a perfect blend of elegance, culture, and creativity. Before shooting this wedding, I didn’t know much about Danish-style weddings, but when I spoke to the groom, he described it as "lots of drinking, silly games, and very long dinners."
What he didn’t mention was the energy and pure fun that filled those dinners—there was singing, shots, plenty of lively conversation, and even some chair climbing! This couple certainly knows how to throw a party, and I had the best time capturing their day with my documentary-style photography. It’s those spontaneous moments between the big events that I thrive on, uncovering the hidden stories that tie together the entire wedding gallery.
The upstairs room at Brunswick House is a spectacular space for the wedding breakfast, with historic artwork and elegant furnishings that transport guests back in time while maintaining a modern, vibrant atmosphere. I was kept on my toes all day, capturing the laughter, chaos, and high energy that made this wedding so special. Weddings like this are exactly why I love being a wedding photographer—every speech, game, and fun moment adds to the bigger picture, creating a rich, memorable story.
