The Brunswick House is a charming spot for hosting wedding celebrations, offering a delightful setting for wedding photography. Situated in Vauxhall, this Georgian mansion provided the perfect backdrop for Helen & Mad's Danish-style wedding. The day was elegant and infused with culture and the arts. Prior to this wedding, I had little knowledge of Danish-style weddings. During my initial conversation with the couple, the groom summarised it as "lots of drinking, silly games, and very long dinners."
However, he failed to mention the lively atmosphere during these dinners, with plenty of conversation, singing, shots, and even chair climbing. This couple certainly knows how to have a good time, and I thoroughly enjoyed capturing their story in my documentary style. Spontaneous moments are the essence of my photography style - I relish capturing the moments between the main events and uncovering the smaller stories within the larger narrative.
The Brunswick House boasts a spacious upstairs room for hosting the wedding breakfast. Surrounded by historic artwork and elegant furniture, guests are transported back in time, experiencing a dining atmosphere fit for royalty. I was kept on my toes throughout the day, capturing the chaos, laughter, and high energy that permeated the room. Weddings like this are what I live for - my photography style aims to capture the joy of the day while documenting the little moments that tie the wedding gallery together. The more speeches, games, and fun, the better it is for me! Having been a wedding photographer for several years, this was my first visit to the Brunswick House.
