Lambeth Town Hall Wedding | Helen & Mads
I am thrilled to still be photographing some weddings during this COVID 19 pandemic. What a crazy year for the wedding industry, and what a stressful year it has been for all my couples who have had to either cancel, postpone or find an alternative plan to make their day work with the current restrictions in place. Helen and Mads did just that! They were keen to not let the virus stop them from getting married, and they pushed ahead with a beautiful day at the Lambeth Town Hall in Brixton. It was a great way for the couple to end the year on a high. I can’t wait to photograph their reception party net year summer! Fingers crossed we are all back to our normal lives by then.
I didn’t want the pandemic to put a downer on the day and how I capture it. So I was super charged to get the most of this short 3 hour coverage. I started the day in Brixton, South London, at Helen and Mad’s flat to capture just a few morning photos before we headed off to the Town Hall. This was the day I discovered that wearing a mask while shooting is very difficult – the viewfinder steams up after every breath haha! I guess we all have to find ways to adjust to this new temporary life style.
The morning was just perfectly chilled, the couple popped the champagne, made a toast before we jumped in an Uber and made our way to the Lambeth Town Hall. It was my first time at this wedding venue, and my first visit to Briton as wedding photographer. I was very impressed by the interior décor, and it provided a beautiful charming backdrop to the wedding photography – Enjoy of me, enjoy the photos below..
