Hackney Committee room wedding
Lisa & Joe
Lisa & Joe – What a couple, and what a day to capture! I absolutely love to capture weddings here at the Hackney Town Hall, and there is no better space than the committee room to have your ceremony, and seal the deal with a ring. You will see from the photos below how much joy surrounded the day, and how natural the couple look together. My documentary style is about blending in with the day and not acting like a guest, letting you be yourselves, and most importantly have photos that best represent who you are as a couple.
The day began with a few moments during the morning prep at The Stratford Hotel in east London. I usually arrive an hour before you plan to leave your rooms, and it also means I’m not there the whole time as I like to give my bride’s and groom their personal space in the morning. But it does however produce some wonderful moments for me to capture. The morning pre is less about the makeup and details, instead for me it’s about the people, and the emotions, and capturing these moments in a way that will help build up the story.
I capture one of my absolute favourite photos from this wedding (see below) where you see the groom in the bathroom, nicely centred in the frame, and his son anxiously leaning over from the corner of the shot to see what his dad is up to. It is photos like this that remind me how much I love what I do, and it’s what I strive to capture at every wedding because no wedding is the same in my eyes.
Below you will find a handful of samples I sent out to the coupe 48 hours after the wedding day, and I cannot wait to share more from this wedding soon. I will stop wiring now and let you enjoy the photos….
