Cooling Castle Wedding Photography // Lauren & Dave
It was so lovely photographing Lauren & Dave’s Cooling Castle Barn Wedding at this amazing wedding venue in Kent. Cooling Castle is located in Kent, just a short drive from Rochester. It is a beautiful countryside setting, and was proven to be the perfect venue for Lauren & Dave’s wedding day.
When I got that email from Lauren I had never heard of this amazing wedding venue. After booking their day into my calendar I was super excited to experience the venue and capture some wonderful moments for the bride and groom.
The morning preparations, ceremony and reception were all held at the Cooling Castle Barn. It was also my first visit to Kent, and my first time as a Kent Wedding Photographer. It’s a beautiful part of the country, and perfect for holding relaxed weeding days.
During the bridal and groom prep I was able to pop between the bride and groom easily to capture the morning atmosphere, and document the moments leading up to the ceremony. Both parties were so accommodating, and there was a really chill atmosphere in the air. This allowed me to get up close at times to capture some brilliant moments between the couple and the wedding guests. I loved the way that Lauren & Dave did things totally their own way! and they really made the most of the day!
I had a great time with them and the guests at their beautiful wedding ceremony, and would love to come back soon to be a Cooling Castle Wedding Photographer again!

- Bridal prep can be such a peaceful time of the day – great time to get creative with what is a simple shot – Lauren getting her makeup done
-
- What some people could call a ‘non portrait’ – It’s a shot of the groom, completely natural and unposed. I saw a hint of nerves on his face and stepped in to take the shot! I don’t think he even noticed
-
- I like to capture photos like this in context – you can really feel the intensity building moments before Lauren walks down the isle.
-
- While I was concentrating on capturing Lauren walking down the aisle, on the corner of my eye I noticed Dave move his arm and quickly took this nap of the groom wiping tears of joy. 🙂

- First look between bride and her father!
-
- Smiles quickly turned to tears – I always try to shoot through the moments because you never know what can happen – I was glad to get this shot for the Bride – Beautiful moment!

- Love this dancefloor photo. It’s always fun to try things at different angles. You never know what you can get.
Thank you so much for taking the time and looking at my blog post. If you are getting married and looking for a wedding photographer, then I would love to hear from you and talk over your plans.
